April 5 @ 9:00 pm - 11:30 pm EDT

Juno nominees Amy McConnell (vocals) & William Sperandei (trumpet) return to the Jazz Bistro for two concerts, joined by Michael Shand (piano), Rob Piltch (guitar), Ross MacIntyre (bass) and Ben Riley (drums). Reservations are highly recommended.
McConnell and Sperandei will take a stylish romp through 20th century music, moving effortlessly through traditional and modern repertoire as they cover great songwriters from Cole Porter and Michel Legrand to Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell.
Critical acclaim for their albums “Stealing Genius” and “Accomplice”:
“For its jaw-dropping chutzpah Stealing Genius deserves a Juno… Sperandei’s playing is lush and well-matched to McConnell’s voice.” -Peter Goddard, Toronto Star
“Take the beautiful, soaring voice of Canadian singer Amy McConnell and pair it with the precise and subtle sound of William Sperandei’s trumpet (which evokes Chet Baker) and you have a jazz that is fresh and melodic.” -François Lemay, ICI Musique
“The trumpet work by Mr Sperandei is exquisite. Ms. McConnell has restored my faith in Canadian female vocalists.” -Barrie Woodey, CHRW 94.9FM
