“A Night Of Italian Jazz”
Classically trained tenor Charles Di Raimondo, is a unique artist and singer. Equally comfortable singing Bach, Verdi, Puccini and Handel with large orchestras and performing for a small intimate crowd in a club, Charles brings his dynamic and powerful voice and stellar band back to the Jazz Bistro for another exciting and much anticipated evening of “Italian Jazz” following recent successful performances in Canada and the Unites States, performing with Jazz heavyweights such as Hilario Duran, Bernie Senensky and Stuart Harrison.
Charles is well known for his lively and passionate stage presence, and his uncanny ability to write unique jazz arrangements of Opera and Italian classics such as “O Sole Mio”, “La Donna e mobile”, and “That’s Amore” and magically transport them into the swing idiom. He will be performing songs from his latest release “My Jazz Adventures” and timeless standards and original compositions from his critically acclaimed album “Summer Rain”.
