During the disco era of the mid-1970s, three time Juno Award winner Patsy Gallant was
internationally known as Canada’s Queen of Disco. Her single releases “From New York to LA”
and “Sugar Daddy” were dance club mega-hits, and both songs achieved top ten chart status in
several countries around the world. In 1977 “From New York to LA” reached the #6 chart
position in the UK. In 1978 Gallant hosted her own TV variety show, The Patsy Gallant Show,
on CTV for two seasons. After the release of her 1984 album Take Another Look Gallant left the
music business for roles in musical theatre. In 1988 she re-emerged, performing in productions
of Cats, Nunsence and Piaf. Moving to France in 1997, she played Stella Spotlight in Starmania
for eight years. In 2015 Gallant recorded and released her latest album, Patsy Gallant chante
Piaf, an outstanding collection of fourteen Edith Piaf songs sung by Gallant in a tribute to her
