Join Grammy-nominated violinist Drew Jurecka and Ottawa guitarist Justin DuHaime for an evening of music inspired by the legacy of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. Joined by Tak Arikushi on guitar and Chris Banks on Bass, this quartet will provide an evening of virtuosic solos, swinging melodies and beautiful ballads, accompanied by the driving rhythm guitar that characterizes this unique style of Jazz.

Prepare to enjoy an evening of classic swing, Latin grooves, American songbook, and modern classics.

Drew Jurecka is a Grammy-nominated violinist, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist.
Performing regularly with his Jazz Trio, with the Venuti String Quartet and as the bandoneonist with Payadora Tango Ensemble, he’s also toured with artists including Jill Barber, Jeff Healey, John McDermott, Stuart McLean, and the Vinyl Cafe.
As a studio musician and arranger, Drew’s arrangements and playing can be heard on film, TV and video game soundtracks as well as hundreds of records for artists in a huge range of styles including Dua Lipa, Alvvays, Dermott Kennedy, Mastodon, Jesse Cook, Ron Sexsmith, Donovan Woods, Laila Biali, Jill Barber.
Drew’s arrangements have been performed by groups including the Toronto Symphony, the National Arts Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, The Art of Time Ensemble, the Gryphon Trio.
He has released one record with his Jazz trio, a string quartet record with his original String Quartet, and several records with his other projects.
Justin Duhaime is a passionate guitarist, composer, teacher, and storyteller with a deep commitment to music. Duhaime’s tastes in music range from jazz to metal, classical to carnatic music, chorro to blues rock, tango to fusion, pop to bluegrass, and beyond. Whether performing or composing, he continues to seek openness, depth, growth, and to desegregate stylistic boundaries in a way that engages listeners. He is the first musician to ever receive the Ottawa Arts Council’s RBC Emerging Artist Award.
