Bulgarian jazz singer Mira Katsarova  presents her new concert program, “The New Standards”.  The project is inspired by popular and distinguished songs of  jazz artists and some of the most prominent names in pop music –  Michael Jackson, Prince, John Lennon, Massive Attack, Sting etc. In this new project  their songs will be arranged and performed as modern jazz pieces.

In the spring of 2017 Mira will tour the US and Canada with her exceptional band – Vesselin Vesselinov (Eco) – (bass), Mladen Dimitrov (drums) and Miroslav Turiyski (piano).

Gifted Bulgarian bass player Vesselin Vesselinov  is one of the most sought-after musicians for a wide variety projects. He plays with equal precision  jazz, rock and pop making Eco one of the industry’s most prolific bassists.   Miroslav Turiyski is an impressive, intelligent young pianist, arranger and composer known for his new approach of creating and performing music. His total devotion to the music leads him, at Plovdiv Music Academy where he is a  professor, to he share his knowledge and experience driving his students  to play with the equal passion.   Mladen Dimitrov is an innovative and brilliant percussionist  and DJ whose name could be found in some of the most prestigious US and European DJ charts and CD compilations.
