Rohaam Keyvani, a 13-year-old Toronto-based pianist known for his versatility across genres like Funk, R&B, World Jazz, and traditional Jazz. Rohaam’s musical journey has seen him perform with various choirs and grace the stage at the prestigious Niagara Music Festival. He’s had the privilege of learning from renowned musicians such as Kenneth Ascher, Matt Brubeck, Lorne Lofsky, and many others in the jazz scene.Sam Heggum-Truscott, our 16-year-old drummer hailing from Toronto, is a true rhythm virtuoso. His extensive experience in jazz ensembles has made him a master of Funk, R&B, and a variety of musical styles. Sam has even lent his exceptional skills to Humber College, a prestigious institution with notable alumni like Larnell Lewis.Daniel Kim, a 16-year-old saxophone and clarinet player based in Toronto, adds a unique flavor to our band. His specialization lies in straight jazz and the sultry rhythms of bossa nova. Daniel’s musical horizons expand even further, encompassing Funk and World Jazz in our fusion ensemble. Don’t miss his captivating melodies and versatile sounds.Finn Chercover, a 17-year-old bassist extraordinaire from Toronto. His passion lies in the groovy realms of Funk Jazz and the rich textures of World Jazz, among others. Finn’s impressive resume boasts performances at institutions like Humber College and Berklee Academy, showcasing his dedication and talent on the bass guitar.
Simon Smith-Bellefeuille, is a budding jazz musician who has played a mixture of guitar and saxophone at a variety of places, such as the Rex, the Pilot, and at TD Jazzfest. He has also played with a number of organized big bands, such as the Toronto Jazz Academy Orchestra, Etobicoke School of the Arts’ Jazz ensemble, and TDSB All-City RnB.
