The Dave Clark 4 stirs a gumbo of jazz, folkloric, and funky stylings into an uplifting celebration.
Iconoclastic Canadian drummer and composer Dave Clark steers the Dave Clark 4 with his good friends; Tania Gill on piano, Bruce Mackinnon on saxophone and Chris Banks on bass. Together they explore New Orleans second line and trad jazz, swing, bebop, free and modern jazz, Calypso, Arabic, Latino, and West African traditions. This band can burst into ecstatic freneticism and turn on a dime into a soothing ballad. They brushstroke jazz standards and their own unique original songs into beautifully burnished moments.
