The Emmett Hodgins Coast Group

he Emmett Hodgins Coast Group is a Toronto based modern Jazz fusion group, consisting of members hailing from all over Canada as well as the world. The group was founded after a brief summer tour through the coast of BC (hence the name Coast Group) where the band was formed playing original compositions inspired by the BC coast and the atmosphere and global emotion of the time. The Coast group now has expanded with members from Jamaica and Zimbabwe as well as Vancouver and Alberta, and has formed and honed a sound that is uniquely the Emmett Hodgins Coast group. This is their third year of being a band and they continue to create new and exciting original music, combining Ambient classical, Modern jazz, jazz fusion, funk, and free jazz into the sound they now represent.
